March brought another health issue, possible bladder cancer! My ocular melanoma adventure started when I was turning 40. Now in my 50’s this is my new adventure.
Unrelated to my battle with ocular melanoma, this caused a lot of concern. The bag I am holding carries my catheter attached urine bag.
It started in late 2017 with blood in my urine being very visible. After a doctor’s visit and seeing a specialist and having an ultrasound, cysts in my bladder were found.
I ended up with a procedure to remove and biopsy the cysts (the name of which escapes me now) and a good reason to wear a catheter for a week.
As it turned out I do not have bladder cancer. Only one fight to continue fighting, for now.
There is a ten year follow-up scheduled.
